Yaspir is a shop that first made jewelry and later expanded into apparels.

As Kamayo Jewelry

The store started as Kamayo Jewelry, which built its online presence from June 25, 2013. The brand offers gemstone jewelry, particularly beaded necklaces, bracelets and zodiac charms.

As Deomar Pandan Collections

Since Kamayo Jewelry drew inspirations from tribal designs, these were also incorporated into the shop. The fusion of Kamayo Jewelry and Las Filipinas Designs led to the renaming of the shop after their owner, being the common denominator of these brands of accessories. Thus, on January 19, 2018, Kamayo Jewelry became Deomar Pandan Collections.

However, the shop faced great challenges in distributing its jewelry, particularly in shipping from the Philippines to customers in the US. Packages simply took longer to arrive.

Still, since 2013, Deomar Pandan has fulfilled many orders. Even at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shop managed to hold on. Though international shipping at this time ground to a halt, customers patiently waited for their orders, even as the courier took months to resume operation.

Accordingly, Deomar Pandan weathered the ups and downs of selling from a remote part of the world. Moreover, since April 9, 2018, the shop has also expanded into designing clothes, which conveniently ship from within the US.

A challenge persistently hounded the shop. Deomar Pandan Collections always had to deal with the inconvenience of its long name. Along with fluctuations in online traffic, the shop struggles with getting people to remember it. How does the business shorten its name into a brand that encapsulates all the goods it offers?

At first, on November 13, 2022, ‘collections’ was dropped from the shop’s web address and replaced with ‘shop.’ Then, after almost 2 years, on June 9, 2024, ‘shop’ was also removed. Thus, it was simply ‘Deomar Pandan.’

As the owner decided to replace his nickname with his real name for his next nonfiction books, there came an opportunity to rethink the entire identity of his store.

Ultimately, on June 30, 2024, Jomar Pandan renamed his shop ‘Yaspir,’ from a fictional race in his head called ‘Yonder Awakened Spirit.’ What the name holds is the word ‘aspire,’ which the online shop does in bringing people what they love, even from a remote culture across the globe.

Yaspir aspires to send people their favorite charms, gems and designs for years to come.
